Iranian game design developer Mohammad Alavi has left Respawn Entertainment. He is one of Infinity Ward’s ex-developers who founded the EA-affiliated studio. Alavi is known for designing some of the trilogy’s most iconic and controversial missions. Modern Warfare, like No Russian. The developer announced his departure earlier this week on his Twitter account:
(1/2) Today was my last day at Respawn Entertainment. It feels surreal. I’ve been making games for 18 years, always with only two companies: Infinity Ward and Respawn. I spent 11 of those years at Respawn, a company I co-founded.

(2/2) I’ve been fortunate to work with and learn from the most talented developers and help create franchises I’m very proud of (Titanfall and Apex Legends). It’s bittersweet today: I’m excited for my next adventure, but sad to leave family behind. It’s the end of an era.

Today was my last day at Respawn Entertainment. It’s surreal. I’ve been making games for 18 years, but only at two companies: Infinity Ward and Respawn. I spent eleven of those years at Respawn, a company I co-founded.
I’ve had the chance to work with and learn from the most talented developers and help create franchises that I’m very proud of (Titanfall and Apex Legends). Today is bittersweet: I’m excited for my next adventure, but sad to leave family behind. It’s the end of an era.
Before embarking on new horizons, Alavi was creative director on an unannounced project. As a reminder, the studio is evolving in parallel Apex Legends
However, it is not about that titan case 3. Everything indicates that Respawn would be working on a new IP, although we’ll have to wait for more details. In fact, this project is still in its infancy and EA would target a release window between 2024 and 2025.
