In the latest podcast from Iron Lords, the director of project management for Xbox, Jason ronald, talked about plans to add a Platinum Trophy equivalent to on Xbox. On PlayStation, players earn the Platinum Trophy after completing 100% of the game’s Trophies.
Xbox games are successful, but completing 100% no longer has an impact. Ronald talked about how the different types of players. We each play differently, and the Xbox team seeks to reward different types of players in different ways.
We have certainly heard these comments (…). The achievements are interesting because everyone plays differently. So we really thought, how do we reward the people who play the way you want and the games you want? Some players just prefer to play multiplayer. What do we do to reward them and show progress and things like that? There are other people out there who like to play tons of different games, so how do we go ahead and stick to that investment? And then there are other people like me, where I’m a finalist and I literally want to finish it all in one game. So it’s a balance and it’s definitely an area we’ve heard some commentary on. There is nothing to announce today, but it is certainly the most important thing for us as we look to the future.

Xbox is always looking to improve, and that’s not just about looking at yourself in the mirror, but also about watchingsome of the competition. He has already turned to Sony for improvements in other departments. We will even remember how Phil Spencer himself praised the DualSense controller and how the Xbox team was able to work on similar improvements. A platinum equivalent would be great news for those of you looking for the accomplishments. In the Xbox zone we know that you are a lot of achievement hunters, so hopefully this will match an equivalent in our beloved Xbox.
