Gears 5’s multiplayer content remained unattractive throughout the 8 Operations it had as seasonal updates. During this time, quite a few maps, characters and game modes were released to keep the community active, but The Coalition could never fully appeal to players, who gradually left the game until today. , with a solid player base, but not enough. to continue updating the game.
Today is different, as a lot of content has been leaked that was supposedly already developed and tested, but never saw the light of day. Through Twitter, a Gears 5 content creator reportedly went into the game’s source code to pick up a lot of functional stuff that we all wish we had. In what was shown, we saw cool weapons, maps, game modes, skins, and other features.
Gears 5 Operation 9 could be awesome
Before moving to Gears 5, some things were also shown in Gears of War 4, like the ink grenade, the rejection of which would have been the series’ canon value. This was definitely a blow as we all love this grenade and its in-game interaction. weapons that would arrive in Gears 5, but not for the fourth installment.

Now, with the content canceled for Gears 5, it’s something else, because they are very positive additions which it is not clear why they never arrived. The first thing we saw was a weapon leaked by The Coalition itself in an Operation 7 trailer. That weapon is the Booshka, shown in a trailer, but never released in multiplayer. Now, with this leaked gameplay, we see how it works and how cool it looked.
Hablando de armas, también salió captura de la clásica Digger, con su única aparición in Gears of War 3, because tenían planes para modelar esta arma en Gears 5. Por el momento no sabemos su funcionamiento, pero tenemos claro que está dentro del código Game.

As for maps and game modes, it looks like Gears of War 4’s Impact map was also going to be playable, but for unknown reasons it never made it to the list. Additionally, there is gameplay in an interesting 2v2 map that was leaked several months ago. These were never released, but they were implemented and tested by the studio.
In addition to the above, there was evidence of a game mode called “Kill Confirmed”, a mode that involves collecting plates from a dead enemy to earn points. The animations seem already ready, and there were even its own dialogues. We also saw the classic Horde mode, it doesn’t have a big projection, so we don’t know if it’s a test of The Coalition or a function to test the different enemies.

The game mode is based on Arcade, when you kill the enemy’s cog beacons. you have about 10 seconds to pick them up or they will disappear… you can also pick up your teammate’s tags. if you execute an enemy, you automatically get a point. pic.twitter.com/yd6zywznXh— Helios (@Hi_Helios) March 3, 2023
Finally, images of some skins that haven’t been officially released and are fully functional have jumped. Kait in collaboration with Gears Pop and a RAAM skin on her Theron Guard armor.
All of the above may never see the light of day, but if it does, this would be a nice addition for those who continue to play Gears 5. At this time, we probably won’t hear any news on this. game and The Coalition is already focusing on getting something out of Gears 6 that same year.
