Microsoft currently has two impressive systems on the market. Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are both impressive consoles, with great capabilities and features and offering a range of options to make the leap to the next generation of consoles in the best possible way. But the industry knows it never stops, and it wouldn’t be surprising if those in Redmond are already thinking about new versions of these consoles.
Something we may have been able to see slightly with a few filtered names, but nothing real and tangible yet. And this is where the imagination of the community comes in, it always lends itself to the creation of very original ideas and concepts.
Xbox Series C, a console straddling two giants
The new concept of Xbox Series C that Xbox Ready has imagined and shared on its YouTube channel falls within this framework. A brief look at a new console within the Xbox Series family, which would be halfway between the Series X and the Series S. In fact, its design is as if it were half a X series. It’s basically a design within a cube that’s largely reminiscent of the GameCube, albeit with some more powerful console features, like the grid-like top fan.
This concept console would have a disc drive and a smaller size than the older sibling in the family. In turn, as he himself specifies, this hypothetical Xbox Series C would be more powerful than the Series S and would be available in two colors: black and white.
This way, the next-generation Xbox family of consoles would have more options available to users.
What do you think of this console concept? Do you think Microsoft will have something like this in mind, straddling its two current consoles, or will it after revisions to those two? Either way, the imagination of users never ceases to amaze us.
