With HYPERCHARGE: Unboxed, the shooter with action figures is now available for Xbox consoles.
Independent developer Digital Cybercherries today releases Hypercharge: Unboxed for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, a shooter about sentient action figures.
Inspired by movies like Toy Story and Small Soldiers, Hypercharge: Unboxed is a first and third person shooter action figure game with a full story campaign mode that can be played offline alone or online with up to 4 players in co-op. It also supports split screen, both locally and online.
If you’re more competitive than cooperative, Hypercharge:Unboxed has you covered too, offering a range of PvP modes for short action figure battles. Defend the Hypercore with your friends, survive waves of relentless hordes of armed toys, or enjoy a good old-fashioned brawl where everyone gets their money’s worth.
Hypercharge welcomes parents and children into a vibrant world of action figures and toys. It’s a way for adults to remember the fun of their own childhood and create new, happy memories with their children.
Thanks to cross-platform support for the PC version, there are no limits when it comes to who you play with, so enjoy it with your friends however you want. There are even bots available if you prefer to play with AI counterparts or opponents.
“Hypercharge: Unboxed is the perfect blend of nostalgic charm and modern shooter design,” says Joe Henson, Creative Gameplay and Marketing Director at Digital Cybercherries. “It’s a love letter to our childhoods, where we enjoyed smashing action figures and creating epic battles in our heads – only now we can realize that vision in a fully interactive 3D world. Whether you’re playing alone or want to team up with friends, Hypercharge: Unboxed offers the perfect ’90s energy boost!”
