Today we received one of those news that is hard to believe and especially to assimilate. Hideaki Itsuno, director of sagas like Devil May Cry or Dragon’s Dogma, announced on his social media that he was leaving Capcom. A hard blow for the Japanese company which is losing one of its greatest talents.
So far, Itsuno has not given an exact reason why he said goodbye to Capcom, where he spent more than thirty years, but he left a nice memory for his fans.

On the other hand, in the same statement, Hideaki He begins to talk about his future as a creative and video game creator. He assures that this same month of September will begin “Developing a new game in a new environment. “I hope to create fun and beautiful games that will be as memorable, if not more so, than the ones I have created so far.”.
With this statement, Itsuno ends more than thirty years linked to Capcom. Initially, he joined the company’s arcade division and then co-directed games such as Star Gladiator and Rival Schools: United by Fate. However, His greatest successes came from Devil May Cry and, especially, Dragon’s Dogma, the sequel of which would be his last work for the company.
