Rainbow Six Siege is the golden goose for Ubisoft. Unsurprisingly, the company’s tactical shooter has been with us for seven years, during which time it reached 80 million players. Much of the credit goes to the treatment and care that the developer gives to the game, with constant updates and new content arriving regularly. And as part of that content expansion, in 2022 we’ll have the year 7, which will repeat the seasonal formula throughout the year.
The first of these, as we already announced to you this morning, will be Demon Veil, and will include a new agent that has already been shown on video. But this will not be the only novelty that we will have.
Year 7 of Rainbow Six Siege will be the most ambitious yet
In addition to this new member of the defensive rooster of the game, Ubisoft will implement a new map for the first time in three years: Emerald Plains, a map taking place in an Irish pub. Moreover, a new game mode, Team Deathmatch, the classic online shooting mode, will also be added. A game mode well known to players that will offer us 5-minute games with reappearances to practice our aim and skills with each of the agents. Additionally, Ubisoft has also confirmed that an exclusive map for this mode will be included in Year 7 Season 2, designed solely for the enjoyment of this type of game.
On the other hand, some gameplay adjustments are going to be made, adding the possibility of being able to change agents in different matches. In this way, it is intended to increase the usefulness of drones and expand players’ options to adapt to each situation. Finally, the first season of Rainbow Six Siege Year 7 will include Agent Goyo and Valkyrie redesigns.

Finally, the company confirmed the game’s roadmap for 2022, where it will launch four seasons with new agents, tweaks to game modes, maps, and more content.
Rainbow Six Siege is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, plus it’s included with Xbox Game Pass.
