Airhead, the new Metroidvania platformer from HandyGames, will be released on February 12, 2024.
International indie video game publisher HandyGames has announced the release date and price for its upcoming Metroidvania-style puzzle-platformer game Airhead.
Developed by Octato and Massive Miniteam, the debut title lets players explore the post-apocalyptic world of Airhead and discover its secrets.
Players experience a complex, personal story of camaraderie and discovery in a sprawling, interconnected world.
After the symbiotic being Head is torn apart by a mysterious machine, it slowly but surely perishes, but the inconspicuous Body – witness to the tragedy – courageously takes Head’s fate on his shoulders, with the two becoming Airhead. You play as Airhead and rely on air tanks to inflate Head.
It’s a race against time to find the mysterious machine and save Head, whatever the cost. As the player explores the world, he uncovers the mystery of what connects Head, the air tanks, and the technology that permeates the world.
As players explore the beautifully designed environments, players will unlock new puzzles that require logic and creativity to utilize the environment, technology, and various air tanks to keep Head alive.
New upgrades and abilities are discovered as Airhead explores the dark caves and ancient ruins of this mysterious world, encountering a variety of creatures who want to help or save him.
The game will be released on February 12, 2024 for PC, Amazon Luna, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at a price of $19.99. Following launch, versions for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch will be released at a later date.
