The debate has been going on since last weekend that Microsoft confirmed and gave its opinion on the leading reasons that it introduced the Xbox Series X controller with battery power. For the Xbox gamer this is nothing new, but especially when it comes to the topic it creates debate and a clear rift between people who like traditional batteries in control or integrated batteries.

Albert Penello former Xbox Marketing Manager you have spoken to the benefit and performance of both control systems.

Xbox controllers, batteries or battery?

It's been a debate for years. There are strengths and weaknesses in both cases. The hardest part is that it's a binary choice: choosing one means dividing the popularity of those who support another solution.

I have been doing a lot of market research on this, and based on this we have selected AA batteries. The base for playing with technology lovers is mainly for an integrated battery control solution, but AA batteries actually have advantages. AA batteries can be used even after a long time, they can be easily replaced and you can choose solutions that will never work. Of course, built-in batteries aren't easy and cheap, but I personally like batteries. AAs as they offer many options to players. In the end, the problem is very complex and there is no easy way to satisfy both parties.

Penello explained under his experience in the market what players want and from his description, and he seems to prefer picking AA batteries in the Xbox control. At Generación Xbox we recently launched an interview that asked our readers what they liked and we had a technical draw, the community is divided into this.
