Restoration is also an art, in the case of video games, making remasters of classic games is a great possibility to revive old times and not leave behind years of culture. Developers Nightdive Studios, famous for the remasters they do, offered Epic Games to work on a remaster of Unreal Tournamnet, just like they did with Quake.
Bleszinski Cliff responded to a Twitter comment where the possibility of a deal between his studio and Epic Games to remaster Unreal Tournament was dropped. And that makes sense, because with the arrival of Unreal Engine 5, the most logical thing would be for the tests to be carried out in a beta project, but this is not the case. For this reason, Nightdive Studios wanted to continue its series of remasters and bring us this classic multiplayer.
Unreal Tournament would finally be taken into account by Epic Games
Fortnite was an unexpected bombshell for the video game world, its development committed the entire development studio to keep the free battle royale full of content. It is for this reason that Unreal Torunament did not receive new deliveries, since a shooter was not necessary to overshadow the popularity of the boom of the moment. Fortnite is now the cornerstone of the Unreal Engine, so we won’t see any new games until the wave of this video game stops.
It’s possible that during this week’s talks we’ll see a preview or announcement about Unreal Engine 5 features, for now we can expect a fresh remaster of a beloved classic.
Say nothing for legal reasons.
