Analysis Rally Adventure, the last adventure of Forza Horizon 5

On the way to completing two years of life, Forza Horizon 5 continues to provide content to its large community, and a good example of this is the constant weekly updates. But while new vehicles, events, and rewards keep us glued to gaming’s biggest car festival, Horizon still has new destinations in store for us as expansions (and what expansions).

After racing through the frenzied tracks of Hot Wheels at breakneck speed, Horizon Festival takes us to the lands of Sierra Nueva. This new location comes from the hand of Rally Adventure, the new extension oriented towards rallies and all-terrain vehicles. Whether you’re a fan of this category or not, I’m afraid this is a must buy for all fans of Forza Horizon 5then I explain why.

Up to six new biomes

The main feature by which Sierra Nueva defines itself is the clear orientation of its land towards rallies and off-road racing. Its paths and highways are an ideal ecosystem where you can skid and beat the times of our rivals in the rally stages. All in a sufficiently varied environment, and which despite more contained dimensions, offers a good handful of additional hours to the basic game.

Among the different areas we have the imposing deformable dunes of the valley of strangers

, where I spent it like a real kid. Driving the Alumi Craft and attacking these dunes is a pleasure that I highly recommend, especially if you like this type of vehicle and terrain. The Orogrande mine is also quite playful, where players can unleash all their creativity with the Event Lab, in addition to exploring it in the purest Ken Block style.

Other notable places are the green landbathed in local cultures and largely by the gigantic Reserva del Carrizo, the rugged Devil’s Passwith spectacular views of its cliffs, or the new 100% destructible palm grove. All with a dreamlike visual section (like the rest of the title), which in this case also adds a detail that will appeal to the most enthusiastic like me; The effect that the sand leaves in our path has been improved, raising large clouds of dust and reacting more realistically.

During our first steps in Sierra Nueva, the title Playground will give us the choice between three teams at first to start their events. Each will be led by old friends from Horizon Mexico; ramiro (Grit Reapers)Alex (Horizon Raptors) and Alejandra (Apex Predators).

Ramiro will invite us to race in the night rally events, Alex will instead opt for the day races on sand and Alejandra will lead the races on asphalt. As already happened in the Hot Wheels expansion, each team sets different goals in exchange for juicy rewards. These rewards range from new vehicles (up to 10) to cosmetic accessories to match Rally Adventure teams.

From Playground they assure that it is the extension with the most content ever created in the saga Forza Horizon, although the truth is that I was not so clear. That there are many is undisputed, but given the sheer size of Hot Wheels or even the Fortune Island of Forza Horizon 4

, I cannot say if it really exceeds these levels. What I can assure you is that you will have a great time hiking every kilometer of the Sierra Nueva.

Rally Adventure comes with other content, which can be enjoyed even by players who don’t own the expansion. In addition to the four new vehicles for the new season, come the superb turbos with anti-lag. And what is anti-lag? you’ll ask. This system allows the exhaust to unleash those beloved “firecrackers” typical of rally cars. To this must be added the incorporation of the Launch control, which gives us the opportunity to get a perfect start with our car, enjoying maximum grip. It’s as simple as accelerating with the right trigger while holding the parking brake. We will reach the appropriate revolutions, and after releasing the brake, the magic.

Another novelty, in this case in Sierra Nueva, will be the helicopter that will accompany us at all times in the races. In this case, it will act as “copilot”because in each event we can select two options; run the stages alone or do it with the rest of the rivals on the track

, in the traditional way. If we choose to race alone to achieve the best time, the game gives us the possibility of activating the Rally mode, which presents the indicative arrows of the co-pilot, in exchange for the removal of the line mark.

Oh, and you also have new parts available to modify many of your cars for dirt or off-road racing, as well as new “body kits”. These are certainly good times for the Forza community.

Is it worth getting into Rally Adventure?

This new expansion is more than mandatory for all players of Forza Horizon 5. Instead of offering a crazier and different experience, as Hot Wheels did, it invites us to discover new rally-oriented places, and the truth is that it works wonderfully. The new challenges are great fun, to which must be added a spectacular technical stagingthe expected of playground games.
