This will undoubtedly be one of the questions that most intrigues fans of the franchise. With the exception of Willump (for obvious reasons), the rest of the characters will speak in our language, and Nunu himself will play the role of “translator” of the thoughts of his friend Yeti.

Platforms and… combat?

As I mentioned previously, one of the strong points of this 3D platformer is its sound section, directly linked to the puzzles. However, while these puzzles are the playable epicenter of the adventure, they aren’t the only thing we’ll do with Nunu and Willump.

“Platforming” will force us to clear certain doors or walls of thorns with another important mechanic of the game, the snowballs. Yes, Nunu can throw snowballs at Willump’s back, which will help him explode some plants that are blocking the path. There’s even room for snowball fights with Willump! Note that I always beat him. But it doesn’t stop there, since our beloved Yeti has ice powers, with which he can freeze water to climb waterfalls or cross rivers and lakes, among other things.

As for the combat system, let’s say that it is more than sufficient for what Tequila offers, but it’s not like it invented gunpowder either. The fights are almost anecdotal, and consist of small waves of wolves with a minimum of enemy variety. The mechanics in this sense involve mashing the “X” and “Y” buttons, which act as a normal attack and a power attack. The best? It is possible to unlock a final animation by giving the finishing blow to each enemywhere Willump and Nunu will team up for one last combo.

Is Song of Nunu another tequila staple?

Tequila is synonymous with quality, that’s a fact. I really enjoyed their latest releases and couldn’t wait to see Golden on consoles. This is undoubtedly a good work from Tequila, but this time it focuses on a more “casual” and younger audience, becoming a great entry point for little ones into video games.
