Analysis: trust no one – Xbox Zone

analysis, Don't trust anyone, Point and click, Triomatic Games, Trust, Xbox, ZONE

Triomatic Games brings us a point-and-click mystery story. This studio is a small team of Ukrainian developers who have already brought us BOXVILLE. The game was actually released on mobile phones and now we are getting the version for Xbox One/Series.

The story

Don’t trust anyone are a point-and-click style detective graphic adventure. We will play a journalist trying to unravel a web of secrets close to a mysterious artificial intelligence company. Our informant will leave us clues to follow him, but at the same time will avoid being discovered by anyone other than our protagonist.. The approach to the game is interesting and the plot is a sort of investigative thriller that hooks us.

Don’t trust anyone with graphics and sound

The visual appearance is the style of the 90s of the last century, with static drawings. But perhaps this is something that will really appeal to fans of the more classic genre. Even if young players may not be particularly attracted by the proposition. Regarding the sound Voices are missing and we only have ambient music and sound effects.

The game is designed for mobile, and in this sense we have tried to simplify everything to reach as many models as possible, even low-end ones. Yet, Can’t expect big things in this section. Therefore we cannot blame him for much in this regard.

Gameplay

Being a mobile gaming port, Playing with a controller is a bit tedious, since to go back, you will have to click on an arrow on the screen, there is no button that displays the object menu. Several of these functions could have been implemented with a button. But at least, is compatible with mouse useso it reminds us once again of the classic PC adventures of the 90s.

The difficulty of the game is high and it will make us think and try various things and re-read the materials with clues, again and again. This makes up for its short length, which if you know the answers, is around 15 minutes.

Conclusions Don’t trust anyone

Don’t trust anyone recovers the concept of the original graphic adventures with static screens in the purest style Mystery or the Spanish classic Don Quixote. VSIt has an interesting story, complex puzzles and simple graphics, but enough to be a good quality, albeit short, title.

For younger players, this may be a “cold door” to enter the genre, but for veterans and fans of the genre, it may be an interesting game.
