It looks like the development of the new Fable is getting stronger and some parts of its development might be fully completed. One of them is its narrative and the flow of it, at least, is what we can extract from this recently announced release next August. Anna Megill, storyteller for Fable at Playground, will step down from her role next month to take on new challenges.
He announced it on July 14th and of course we’re covering it here with this entry from my colleague Manuel, but now he’s come back to clarify with another tweet that it’s not a development issue or personal, but just wants to take a breather before your next big project arrives.
Some people are stupid, so let me be clear: I hit a good stopping point to jump off the project, so I did. And I decided to take a short break before embarking on my next concert. That’s it 🤷🏻♀️ I have nothing but love and respect for Playground and my colleagues there ✨ https://t.co/BmUZfSzGIa

Fable is always in good hands and forward
Do not be afraid of these moves, important as they may seem, because besides the fact that Fable has other narrative managers, the development is more and more advanced, and these positions begin to oversee the scenario more than ‘something else, finishing tweaking edges between missions, secondary, traditions and a long etcetera. However, their ideas and most of their work have already taken shape, so it is common for them to look for a new project.
As Anna rightly says, he has nothing but respect for Playground and his colleagues, so we just have to wish him luck with his projects and may we see his great work soon with the return of one of Microsoft’s most anticipated franchises.
