Great news for Lord of the Rings fans, it was announced today during the Epic Games Store Summer Showcase on The Lord of the Rings Returns to Moria, a crafting and survival game in the dwarven mines. The return of the great fantasy franchise looks more promising than ever, after card games and other forgettable titles, it looks like it’s finally back in the spotlight.
It is a cooperative survival game with at least 8 players, the development studio, North Beach Games, promises that it will be procedurally generated caves in which you will have to survive avoiding all the dangers, crafting and building your way.
The Lord of the Rings Return to Moria is coming next year exclusively to PC
And that’s a shame, because the video game will be exclusive to the Epic Games store, so obviously we will only have it available on PC. We know that next year will arrive and it may be the start of an Epic strategy to generate its own ecosystem of exclusive video games. We don’t know if there will be a console release, but the possibility isn’t ruled out.
