For more than five years now, Awesome Games Studio has been busy creating an action-platformer game with rogue-lite elements that take place within the comic book world. The main goal of composing was to create a title that gives you the feeling of being an unstoppable action hero. It is somehow similar to ancient games, which I enjoyed in my childhood and I believe most of you are familiar with.
Similar topics Contra and Metal Slug both come to mind. Both were inspirational Anger Released, depending on the gameplay and concept. In our game, there is a great evil that threatens the Earth, be it ancient gods or alien invasions, and there is a hero. You are a death machine that goes the body of your choice; a human, an illiterate, or perhaps a robot. The old gameplay of old-school shooters is contained and modernized inside Anger Released.
There is no life and it goes on here. Instead, you always start from the beginning of your favorite comic book. The power-ups you get tend to stay with you for the full run, but there is also a skill tree, which allows you to advance the hero further. If I were to just say, the most important design point is the combo system. In the meantime, it is not about overcoming your opponent by the amount of scale and careful knocking.
Anger ReleasedThe & # 39; combo program is about feeling like a hero of action, cultivating through standing – or floating – opposition in your own way. Keeping up with the timelines gives you various boons for your hero. For example, you get shields that prevent damage, not break the combo streak, as long as you stay alert and active. I remember we had enough time and patience, it was possible to clear the entire game from start to finish with a single combo item! It's not even a theory, as it was done a few times, making it a great option for speed workers around the world.
As you can probably guess once you get used to it Comix location, that game was the catalyst for our project. To be precise, our painter, who is also one of the foremost designers, is a huge lover of comic books and thinks of drama, which takes place within various comics in a uniquely designed universe. The game mentioned earlier was proof that this concept could translate into a video game, so it was a great help to move forward with the project.
Games like Spelunky and Legacy Legacy they were other inspirations for us. We believe those traits are genetically modified, and, as a result, were important in the beginning, as are examples of our species. Anger Released, in its default game mode, is a rogue-lite where every run is unique. The next generation is within the realm of the game, so even if you think you've seen it all, there's a new surprise waiting for you in every room.
One of our inspirations that came later in the production cycle of the game was Dead Cells. Anger ReleasedThe composing has gone in many ways in different ways than the title described, losing the metroidylvania model by following the oldest forms. However, there were so many things, that I and the rest of the team found were good lessons to learn. That has led to improvements in features such as visual reading, player navigation, and overall aesthetics of the game
I always find it amazing how the games we played and others remembered so well that it was the seed for our project to grow and blossom into something, and we love to play! As developers, it can be very rewarding for us, if one day someone can make a good article, it will list Anger Released
