Starting Thursday, Halo Infinite players can expect the next hotfix for Big Team Battle mode.
Recently, Halo Infinite’s Big Team Battle mode has been struggling with an increasing number of annoying issues. Players reported extremely long matchmaking times and disconnections.
Since a hotfix published by 343 Industries could hardly remedy the situation, Senior Community Manager John Junyszek has now resigned in one go Halo Waypoint update already announced the next hotfix for February 3rd.
“With the telemetry we received from the January 19 hotfix, we were able to create a new build with an update that we believe should address the core issue impacting the BTB playlist. The studio conducted a successful playtest today and plans to send it in for certification on Monday. Once submitted, it will take some time to go through the certification process and find out if it has been approved.”
“Once approved, we will begin preparations for release. With a little more internal release process to go through, the earliest we expect this hotfix to start is next Thursday, February 3rd.”
According to Junyszek, Halo Infinite’s much-criticized in-game shop will also undergo further adjustments over time. In the future, individual items from certain packages will also be available for purchase separately:
“This is something the shop does not currently support and we are evaluating our overall presentation to see how we can better meet needs and expectations. For the remainder of Season 1, our focus is on providing a better offering of individual items and bundles to help players get the customization they want without having to purchase larger bundles.”
