Ubisoft recently announced that it would simply delete inactive accounts in its database, regardless of the games purchased on them.
It just happens that you don’t need a service for months because you just don’t like playing the games from it. In the case of Ubisoft games, you should at least log into your account from time to time.
Ubisoft recently announced that they have an account closure process that will delete the entire account if inactive for too long. Whether and which games were bought on it is irrelevant for the process.
Before your account is deleted, you will receive an email from Ubisoft that gives you 30 days to log in. If no login occurs within this period, Ubisoft will close this account. The process was confirmed on Twitter by a support representative from the studio.
The amount of time that must elapse before such an email is received is unclear. This should not apply directly to gamers who have purchased Ubisoft products via their Xbox, as they have obtained their games via Microsoft. Ultimately, however, Ubisoft should clarify this so as not to unsettle customers.
