From Software reportedly sent out a survey to selected users to reveal Armored Core 6.
We reported back in early December that From Software might have a new Armored Core under development. Now Resetera user Red Liquorice claims that he recently took part in a survey about the game.
The unnamed game is said to offer a “sci-fi world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki”, “three-dimensional, dynamic action” and a “high degree of freedom in customization”.
“The game is a third-person shooter mecha-action title in which you can move around an overwhelmingly large map that represents a unique sci-fi world with dynamic mech action,” says the alleged one Overview. “You will face strong opponents and fierce battles, both at long and short range, with weapons and blades.”
In the story of the game, a government, corporations, cultists and mercenaries allegedly fight over an alien substance that “can drastically advance human society”.
According to the user, the survey also included screenshots and a small amount of footage from the game, which he did not share because it was watermarked.
Boss fights would be very reminiscent of Dark Souls and the user suspects that the game could have a multiplayer.
“The boss fight looked pretty souls-like – the long range shots reminded me of Virtua On, that’s my frame of reference, I’m not a mech fan and haven’t played AC games. The player character in a white ‘Mech went up close to the larger robot boss and fought with an energy or lightsaber that looked like Souls. “
“The field gameplay, the player in the same white ‘Mech seemed to be following a few other players in the distance (co-op?) And they were running (maybe flying close to the ground) through a snowy area towards a great wall or gate , that also looked like Souls, the vastness of the architecture, but it wasn’t a castle, more like a worn metal / stone wall or a gate. It was pretty short. “
