Banjo Kazooie’s comeback could come back to Xbox whenever Microsoft decides, the franchise is owned by the American company, but in recent years neither they nor Rare have seen it possible to bring the saga back after the launch of its last episode on Xbox 360 with Kazooie Banjo Nuts and Bolts.
The most puristic of Xbox fans and surely many Nintendo enthusiasts would love to see the return of Banjo Kazooie either by Rare or by some of the many studios that are part of Xbox Games Studios. The possibility of the return of the saga has recently been attributed to Double fine, the study conducted by Tim schafer, which he wanted to deny by pointing out that they are already working on something that will surprise players, indirectly referring to Psychonauts 2.
If Banjo Kazooie 3 is developed it will not be by Double Fine
That they think of us when they remember this game, I think it’s something very stimulating, because I really like this series. If there are those who think of Double Fine and associate our name with the idea of a vividly colored platformer that’s really cool, but we’re creating something new that people will really enjoy.
Double Fine is currently engaged in the development of Psychonauts 2, the game has been delayed in time, but if all goes according to plan we can enjoy it next year with a date to be determined.
