Beats Studio Buds Bash Knockout City tournament starts on June 25th, 2021. This includes a selection of the most popular streamers on the planet.
Beats and Electronic Arts today announce the “Beats Studio Buds Bash”, a new live tournament event in Knockout City featuring the most popular streamers in the gaming world. This Friday, June 25th at 7:00 pm, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Nickmercs and many others will compete against each other on Twitch in the team-based multiplayer game.
In addition to Ninja and Nickmercs, CouRageJD, Fuslie, FaZe Swagg, Sykkuno, Sydeon and QuarterJade will also compete as team captains. The captains recruit players to form crews and take out rival teams until one of the teams is crowned the winner.
During the virtual dodgeball tournament, Beats and EA are holding a huge giveaway for fans. During the event, viewers have the chance to win free product and game keys – including the Beats Studio Buds, the newly announced completely wireless in-ear headphones from Beats.
In addition, Beats will be giving away thousands of Twitch subscriptions to participating streamers and community members throughout the day, while EA will also be giving away thousands of game keys that viewers can use to download Knockout City for free.
Knockout City was released in May 2021 and was developed by Velan Studios. The team-based dodgeball title challenges players with its very own unique style. As rowdies, they fight their way through six action-packed multiplayer maps and use six different types of ball to take out their opponents.
The players can also “ball themselves together” in the form of a ball and thus become a projectile themselves that can be thrown by team members. Through crossplay and cross-platform progress, 32 friends can team up on different platforms and even switch platforms along with their progress in order to defeat rival crews.
Knockout City is available now via a free trial. Knockout City is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC via the EA desktop app Beta and on Origin, Steam and the Epic Games Store, and thanks to backward compatibility on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S. It’s also included for free with EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate memberships.
