Hey Xbox fans, nice to be back after the announcement stone back here in January 2020. I’m Greg Louden from Convict Games and I’m here to talk about our next game. Burn. with Burn We wanted to make a story game that anyone could finish at least once – and it’s our most interactive story yet. We worked on it Burn
Burn follows Nina Burn, a Finnish pop star, over 3 acts from her debut at 16, her establishment at 24 and her climax at 27 about mixed moments from her life that give insight into Nina every time our story is repeated. Burn is an interactive story that changes with each repetition based on your dialogue options. Her decisions change Nina’s style, her dialogues, the music and lead to an end of 16 possible outcomes that are good, bad or ugly.
One more unique thing about Burn you never hear the music that Nina creates and that the world adores. Instead, we’re creating a multi-genre soundtrack for Nina’s story by the legendary Joonas Turner, creator of Tormentor X Punisher and audio from Broforce, witch, Nuclear throne, and more. Every time you play the story it is shuffled and a new genre of music is unlocked, ranging from hip hop, techno, black metal and more. Unlocking all genres will allow you to select your music score for future reruns to see all 16 endings.
Burnlike our debut stone, also features an open map to explore with a drive-in theater with full-length public classics revealed in advance.
As for Convict Games, if you haven’t found us yet, we’re an Australian remote story game company that tells amazing and alternate stories starting with stone and now Burn. Convict was founded on July 5th, 2017 by my co-founder Sarah and me. Our motto is “Breaking free since 2017.” This means that we try to do something new with our stories instead of following others. I personally also had great roles in games like Quantum fraction, steering, and more. So, Burn and Convict Games is my chance to experiment and tell new kinds of stories.
