Greetings adventurers! The Destroyer of Ynix is upon us! Drakania, the descendant of Markthanan, has finally made her way black desert as 24th grade. Here’s what we know so far.
Descendant of the night dragon Markthanan, Drakania is powerful and ruthless. Like her Guardian counterpart, Drakania has ties to her dragon ancestors and has fought to survive with all her dragon fury. In contrast to Guardian’s powerful build, Drakania has a more delicate build and wears finely metal-plated armor with chains to represent the hard and sharp traits of her dragon heritage.
Additionally, the visual effects and lights that flow through their armor and weapons during combat simulate fire traveling through a dragon’s body before being released from its maw, giving Drakania an extra fiery touch to its overall design.
Drakania’s Slayer is a two-handed greatsword that excels in melee combat. While Black Desert has a different greatsword class – Warrior – Drakania stands out with a much slimmer blade based on a Zweihander or Flamberge.
Drakania uses a unique secondary weapon called the Shard! This shard is your Slayer’s “heart” and can be instantly removed to attack enemies. While the Slayer is used for heavier, more devastating attacks, the Shard provides Drakania with faster attacks that charge her “Ion”. Ion is Drakania’s unique resource that she hoards in her Slayer. As Drakania attacks with the Shard, Drakania charges up Ion – and when the Shard is returned to the Slayer, Drakania has access to much more devastating attacks!
Also, many of Drakania’s attacks create effects around her that will help Drakania and her allies. These area attacks are powerful tools that can group enemies, drain their resources, and remove debuffs from Drakania and her allies.
Drakania’s passive ability is Markthanan’s Heart, which activates when her HP drops to 50% or less. This passive ability allows Drakania to restore her own HP when performing attacks that generate ion energy.
Drakania puts a unique spin on the greatsword fighting style, combining quick strikes to gather energy and heavy attacks with a full charge. Additionally, her passivity allows her to remain in combat and benefit her allies while crushing her foes. We can’t wait to see how you all enjoy the Destroyer of Ynix!
Drakania joins the adventure along with the start of a new season on May 25th.
