Recently, the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee rated several versions of Rockstar Games’ classic game Bully, also known as Canis Canem, for different platforms.
These include PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. This has sparked anticipation among fans of the game, who are waiting to find out what these new ratings mean.
New game, remaster, remake? What’s your bet?
First of all, I remind you that Bully: Scholarship Edition is available for PC via Steam, which makes the new PC rating a bit “intriguing”… Will this be an updated version of the game or just a re-evaluation of the existing version? No idea, really.
Additionally, an Xbox 360 version of the game was also reviewed, which caused some confusion. Since there is already an independently reviewed version of Bully: Scholarship Edition for Xbox 360, this is likely an error or simply a matter of trademark protection.
As for the versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PlayStation 4, it is likely that they will be emulated or remastered versions of the original game. Indeed, there is already an emulated version of Bully for PlayStation 2 available on the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 4. Will these new versions be an opportunity for fans of the game to revisit the Bullworth Academy school?
