Red Moon Workshop and gaming icon Justin Wong launch ‘Street Fighter’-inspired Shot One Fighters.
Red Moon Workshop is proud to announce its collaboration with fighting game esports legend Justin “JWong” Wong to develop the Street Fighter-inspired competitive brawler Shot One Fighters.
Austin-based Red Moon Workshop began its journey through Valve’s Workshop system, which powers games like Dota 2 and CS:GO. Led by Project Team Lead and Founder Sirius Brozzi and Technical Lead and Co-Founder Andreas Helenek The international team is made up of industry veterans with experience in, among other things, animation, game design, environment and character design, and programming.
Shot One Fighters is being developed as a back- to-basics brawler with enough complexity to appeal to both fans of old-school fighting games and those who like an engaging but not overly punishing learning curve. Helenek has already described the game as a middle ground between Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike and Street Fighter IV.
Red Moon Workshop is still in one early stage of production and recently debuted a demo of Shot One Fighters at PAX East, one of the world’s most popular gaming conventions.
Justin Wong is a fixture in the esports community and a martial arts virtuoso. His many awards include nine Evo championships.
His involvement in the project includes regular meetings with the team to provide valuable feedback on the upcoming fighter’s evolving builds, focusing on character design, game mechanics and additional features.
These insights will incorporate his unique perspective and expertise into the vision of Red Moon Workshop.
Additionally, a key component of his role will be creating content to keep his extensive audience up to date with the latest developments in the game across a variety of social channels, including popular platforms such as Twitch and YouTube.
Also contributing to the development process is John “JMcrofts” Crofts, a fighting game enthusiast and popular influencer with over a decade of experience in competitive fighting games.
A respected figure in the genre, Crofts frequently appears as a commentator at high-profile events and is active on YouTube and Twitch.
As the newest client of Beck Interactive Partners (BIP), led by industry veteran Alex Beck, Red Moon Workshop was introduced to Crofts and Wong as part of the BIP principle of creating true, mutually beneficial partnerships between emerging studios and passionate developers establish and create an environment that attracts visionary publishers.
