King and Activision-Blizzard are the two companies that Microsoft wants to buy.
In the popular bundle, Microsoft wants to buy the Activision-Blizzard and King combo. If we already knew that Bobby Kotick is looking forward to buying Redmond, we found out that King’s boss is too. In an interview with Mobilegamer.biz, King’s current boss, Todd Green, has spoken out on the matter.
“We remain focused on King and our business, but what I can say is that King is excited about the possibilities the merger could bring. Microsoft said an important part of the deal was its ability to expand into the mobile space. We are excited that King can be a part of this potential future, although for now we will continue to operate as two separate companies.”, said Todd Green.
In this interview, we also learn that Candy Crush Saga has been downloaded over 3 billion times. Additionally, Todd explains that this mobile game has seen approximately 20% year-over-year revenue growth in each quarter of 2022. Which is more than a remarkable result and will certainly please Microsoft if the deal is going well.
