After Front Mission 1st, a remake awaits you from Forever Entertainment, as the studio’s CEO has now confirmed.
The Front Mission 1st Remake is hardly on the market, which naturally raises the question of what Forever Entertainment wants to do next. In an interview with Famitsu, the studio’s CEO Zbigniew Dębicki looked at the cards.
Dębicki also speaks of games that do not only come from the Japanese developer sector. The studio recently announced the remake of Fear Effect, which will be released under the title Fear Effect Reinvented.
When asked if there will be more non-Japanese remakes, the CEO replied, “Right now we are working with IP owners and their teams to continue making adjustments to various non-Japanese IP remakes. I think the number of foreign remakes will increase from here, but personally I’m a fan of Japanese games and I want to release more and more Japanese remakes.”
He adds, “Well, I think we’ll be able to announce a new remake later this year, so players can look forward to that!”
After remakes of the legendary Panzer Dragoon, The House of the Dead and Front Mission, it will be interesting to see what and for which platforms Forever Entertainment would like to announce. Because with games like Front Mission 2 and 3 as well as Fear Effect Reinvented you already have very strong remakes in your hands. However, it quickly became quiet about the remake of Fear Effect when the last announcements went out in 2017.
