The Game Boy Advance classic Sigma Star Saga will be released for modern consoles and PC.
WayForward announced Sigma Star Saga for modern consoles and PC at Anime Expo 2024.
The mix of sci-fi role-playing game and shooter was released in 2005 for the Game Boy Advance and will run on the Carbon Engine from Limited Run Games. The version for modern consoles and the PC is not a sequel, but the developer stated that there could be one “later”.
In Sigma Star Saga, the player takes on the role of Allied Earth Federation pilot Ian Recker, who infiltrates the alien Krill Empire as a double agent in order to save humanity from the onslaught at the last second.
To do this, you’ll need to work with both humans and Krill, explore six planets, and use an ever-growing array of tools and abilities, as well as get in the cockpit to battle enemy forces in intense shmup-style combat using more than 70 different Gun Data items.
Beautiful pixel art graphics, epic boss battles and an exciting story with multiple endings await you.
