Clues to four unannounced games that Valve may be working on have been discovered in the short game Aperture Desk Job.
For the launch of the Steam Deck, Valve included a short game called Aperture Desk Job. Since the content is based in the world of Portal, some players saw this as a hint for a new part of Portal.
As we have already reported, they are working on several games at the same time, but a Portal 3 should not be included.
Insider Tyler McVicker, who is very familiar with Valve, found information about four unannounced games in files from Aperture Desk Job.
McVicker describes the tips as the most productive he has ever experienced as a journalist.
And what did he find?
The four games he claims to have found are:
- Half-Life Citadel
- a kind of sequel to Half-Life: Alyx (VR)
- a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Source 2 port
- a remake of the previously discontinued portal painting game
We already reported last year about Half-Life Citadel, for which there should be a lot of information in DLL files. It’s supposed to be a co-op playable FPS/RTS hybrid.
McVicker writes that the references to Citadel should be treated with caution, after all Valve has not made any announcement.
In the video, McVicker explains his find in detail and talks in particular about possible game mechanics that he assigns to Citadel.
