Get a closer look at Wanted: Dead’s gory, limb-crushing combat mechanics.
110 Industries is releasing a new video series for Wanted: Dead, which gives an in-depth look at the game’s polished and stylish combat mechanics, which we previously covered. Now, however, the developers are announcing more details about the gameplay.
Developed by Japanese studio Soleil, Wanted: Dead is no ordinary action game. Players will find some exciting melee combat experience and must use their skills to juggle between sword fighting and thrilling gunfights to survive the onslaught of enemies that stand in their way.
Wanted: Dead offers a true hardcore challenge inspired by the mechanically rich combat systems of the Ninja Gaiden series. The game is not for the faint of heart and will put the player to the test.
From the start, the player is well armed with a powerful ranged weapon. However, Hannah’s rifle alone won’t get you very far, so ammo and sub-weapons dropped by enemies like Assault Rifles, SMGs, LMGs, and Grenade Launchers will come in very handy as the fights intensify. Choose wisely though, as the right mix of weapons can make the difference between life and death in a fight.
One way in Wanted: Dead is to keep moving, combining run-and-gun mechanics, melee combat, slide attacks, grenade throwing, and takedowns to defeat your enemies in a sleek, seamless style. Wanted: Dead requires skill and will not make it easy for the player. Blocking and countering enemy attacks is therefore an essential and fundamental skill that allows the player to advance.
Not only does Wanted: Dead offer the player insane combat combos to take out their enemies with, but also unlockable skillsdivided into three categories (attack, defense and skills) is an important feature.
Because there is no right or wrong way to spend these points, players ultimately have choices in how they customize their Wanted: Dead experience. Some players prefer to rely on their team for support, others prefer defensive strategies during combat, and still others prefer to dive headfirst into the action.
“We can’t wait for players to experience the crazy combat mechanics in Wanted: Dead this Valentine’s Day,” said Sergei Kolobashkin, Founder and Creative Director at 110 Industries. “The Wanted: Dead Explained videos will give players a real taste of the action and what to expect from the game, so keep your eyes peeled for the next video.”
Wanted: Dead is available to pre-order now and will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC on February 14th, Valentine’s Day 2023.
