According to producer Shun Nakamura, the scope of Sonic X Shadow Generations’ Shadow campaign is comparable to that of Sonic Generations.
On October 25th, Sonic X Shadow Generations, a brand new adventure from the Sonic universe, launches on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. This time, however, with Shadow the Hedgehog in the lead role.
In conversation with Famitsu Sonic Team producer Shun Nakamura revealed how many hours of gaming fun Sonic fans can expect. According to him, the scope will be roughly comparable to that of Sonic Generations:
“It depends on how you play,” said Nakamura, “but I think the scope of Shadow Generations is about the same as Sonic Generations, or maybe a little less. If you play both, you can enjoy it for a long time. In the past there’s only been Sonic Generations, so it’s a great offering.”
On HowLongToBeat The playing time of Sonic Generations, released in 2011, was given as an average of 5.5 hours for the story and 16 hours for the entire game.
Players of Sonic X Shadow Generations can expect a possible playing time of around 30 hours thanks to the included remaster of Sonic Generations.
