While gamers’ attention is often focused on video game graphics, other elements are just as important. The gameplay of course, the story, but also the sound. And some songs will be remembered forever by players who have experienced them. Any player from gloriole remembers the theme music, the introduction of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Priscilla comes in The witcher 3 are all pieces to remember. A Plague Story: Innocencewhich was released in 2019 is also a good example of a soundtrack that fits the game perfectly.
Olivier Deriviere returns for A Plague Tale: Requiem
Already on the controls of the previous opus, Olivier Deriviere announced this week that he’s back to compose the music A Plague Tale: Requiem.
As many players know, the first game was very special for me. I’m working again with this amazing team at Asobo Studio to help create this experience that players will not forget.

A very busy year for him as he also kept working Dying Light 2nd Il continues to improve its soundtrack, as Techland wanted to provide that flexibility for the work that Olivier Deriviere considers his most ambitious experience. In fact, with this notion of open world, everything has to be created in a different way.
Instead of creating background music or sticky music right now, I created music systems for whatever players will experience. Each game mechanic has its own musical progression depending on what you’re doing. But that wasn’t enough for me, I wanted to accompany the story in this open world. I ended up with the craziest musical structure I’ve ever made, so the slightest action you make comes into play dying light 2influences the course of the music.
The composer explains that the most important part of his job is to understand the game and how players will experience it. But Olivier Deriviere has played more than 2000 hours dying light 2
as a reminder A Plague Tale: Requiem will be released in 2022 and will directly integrate the Game Pass.
