Last weekend, Sony launched the Concord Beta on the PlayStation 5. In terms of the number of participants, this turned out to be an absolute flop.
Concord, Sony’s new team-based first-person shooter, completely disappointed during its beta last week.
Above all, the number of players was abysmal and reached an “all time peak” of only 1124 players on the PC via Steam. As a rule, there were always around 100 to 200 people online worldwide, Unity
Things didn’t look much better on PlayStation 5 and there were usually an estimated 300 to 400 players worldwide on-line – even though the beta was added to PS+.
Although this was a closed beta, there were still “friend” codes that allowed you to invite more players without having to pre-order. According to these numbers, interest in Concord doesn’t seem to be particularly high.
However, the open Concord Beta will start on July 18, 2024. We can only hope that the number of players and the associated interest of gamers will increase many times over, otherwise the title could already be in a miserable state and many closed beta testers reported back with “DoA” as their conclusion from the weekend.
Have any of you tried Concord on the PS5? What is your conclusion?
