After the first four games, Microsoft will expand its strategy and bring games to new platforms.
The fact that Microsoft wants to expand its strategy and bring more games to third-party platforms in the future is not entirely new. There should even be an internal name for the possible multiplatform strategy called “Project Latitude”.
And the Windows company doesn’t seem to have backed away from this idea since then. This was recently demonstrated not only by Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which will be released for the PlayStation 5 in early 2025.
In the annual letter to shareholders, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella also addressed this topic and said that it would expand its content to new platforms.
Satya Nadella said: “We’ve brought four of our favorite titles to Nintendo Switch and Sony PlayStation for the first time as we continue to expand our content to new platforms.”
Only time will tell whether it will remain a “case by case” decision in the future or whether we will go “all in” and completely multiplatform.
