The crowdfunding campaign for a board game based on Cyberpunk 2077 has now gone online.
CD PROJEKT RED and board game developer Go On Board are proud to announce that Cyberpunk 2077 – The Board Game, a unique adaptation of the hit video game, has now started crowdfunding on Gamefound.
Short description:
- Cyberpunk 2077 – The Board Game is a cooperative, tactical action game for 1-4 players that explores a “what if?” scenario that changes a pivotal event in the video game.
- With 13 different missions and unique gameplay mechanics, it aims to faithfully recreate the feel of the video game.
- The crowdfunding campaign includes a previously announced stretch goal and a special benefit for first-day backers.
The tabletop adaptation, created in close collaboration between CD PROJEKT RED and Go On Board, brings the Cyberpunk 2077 experience to life and features key characters from the video game, including V, Judy, Panam and Jackie.
The cooperative tactical action game offers 1-4 players the opportunity to explore a “what if?” scenario that changes a crucial event from the video game and leads to a new story told in 13 different missions.
The Gamefound campaign, which already had over 60,000 followers before the official launch, offers a first-day perk in the form of an alternate miniature of V with Mantis Blades and a stretch goal that unlocks a Johnny Silverhand miniature and an additional game mode.
Cyberpunk 2077 – The board game is scheduled to be released in multiple language versions in December 2025.
The dynamic and fast-paced board game features a time pressure mechanic to recreate the experience of a mercenary in Night City with epic action moments and over 50 Street Stories that make each playthrough varied and unique.
It also includes an additional Afterlife mission generator, which offers great replay value with dozens of individual missions that players can create.
To learn more about the game mechanics, there is a REDstreams special with board game creator Łukasz Woźniak and Franchise Content Strategy Lead Patrick Mills, who explains in more detail the different elements available to players.
