Update 1.5 for Cyberpunk 2077 just released. Bringing improvements across all platforms, but most notably the long-awaited next-gen update. Several channels have seen the improvements it brings, but few are as confident as Digital Foundry. This section of the UK website Eurogamer has become the reference in terms of video game technology on the web. And on this day the technicians are from DF could investigate the case Cyberpunk 2077which we report here.
Let’s start with the Xbox Series S version. In its original version, which was nothing more than a slightly remastered One game, cyberpunk ran at 1440p and dynamically dropped to 1080p under stress. The frame rate got stuck at a fluctuating 30 fps. After the patch, we’re going to 2304/1296p and going up to 2560p/1440p. Either increased sharpness accompanied by an unshakable 30fps! Traffic on the Series S has also increased sharply, as has the number of pedestrians. Most undeniably in a game that relies heavily on its atmosphere.
On the Xbox Series X we have a choice of two modes: Ray Tracing and Performance. The first replaces the quality mode of version one. The latter offered an adaptive resolution between 1512p and 1720p. But after the patch we go to 1440p beautified with smoothing and anti-aliasing systems. As for the framerate, the previous version ran at an almost constant 30fps, today it won’t swing a bit. The most undeniable thing about this mode is definitely the quality of the shadows. Because yes, ray tracing, resource intensive, is not used for ambient lights. The external difference will be small. However, indoors, an additional layer of realism is added to the image. Objects come to life, contours are more contrasting… In short, it’s more beautiful. The performance mode offers us an almost constant frame rate of 60 fps. Much more consistent than the One version. The resolution changes from the previous 1080p to a spectrum between 1382p and 1728p adaptively. That’s a noticeable improvement over last year! Traffic and pedestrians have also increased significantly, the visual impact is not far away.
Not far, but not quite there. In any case, if we refer to it Digital Foundry. According to them, the current version is much more qualitative than when it was released. But there is still room for improvement Cyberpunk 2077. Any minor bugs that still exist will need to be fixed with future patches. And of course other points are also improved.
Personally, I’m rebooting myself into it with passion Cyberpunk 2077. It’s been hard waiting for this next-gen patch when I really wanted to get back into Night City. But I wanted to do it under the best possible conditions. And frankly, I get up to travel this world. Incredibly immersive, beautiful to die for, the 1.5 update has genuinely benefited it. So yes, the gunfights are average, the inventories too tight, the dialogues too long and often uninteresting, but the rest is insane. I’m specifically talking about the improved handling, loads divided by four and that atmosphere like no other. Get back in or give it a shot with the Try it for free from 5 hours. At least you can say you played it!
