I said it, I say it and I will say it. Dead Island 2 seemed like a really good game to me last year when I had the chance to review it. We had very little hope after the tortuous development and even the 3 changes of hands, studio, that it had, are generally not exactly a sign of success. But the good people at Dambuster Studios had the key to succeeding and not just “doing what was possible.” I highly recommend if you get the chance to play it.. Of course, be careful, as it is extremely violent and graphic.
If you don’t like guts, blood, jaws, and dislocated limbs flying through the air, don’t even go near it, because Dead Island 2 has the best damage system ever. Luckily, for now, you won’t need to purchase the full game, as it’s included with Xbox Game Pass. In fact, you will be able to join the more than 7 million players who are members of the service who have already tried it.

It is not for less, well in this tweet, they themselves point out that the game has sold almost 3 million units this year, a very respectable figure, which ensures the continuity of the franchise, which has expanded its success thanks to its inclusion in the Xbox Game Pass, last March. Plus, in case you don’t know much about the sprawling main adventure, Dead Island 2 has two expansions, several hours long, that are even crazier if possible.
The first one, HAUS, tells us the story of a mansion in which people with a lot of money but apparently not very well in their heads have gathered to witness this end of the world. Inside the huge mansion we will find 4 well-differentiated and almost thematic areas, with a surprising ending. The second, SOLA, takes us to a macro-music festival that seems to have gotten out of control and where it seems like the zombie outbreak could have been generated. Both are the perfect complement if you play it on Game Pass.
