The second story DLC SoLA for Dead Island 2 is now available.
The second story DLC SoLA for Dead Island 2 is now available for Xbox, PlayStation and the Epic Game Store and also for Steam from April 22nd, coinciding with the Steam release of the main game.
The launch trailer for SoLA can be viewed here:
Set in the heart of LA, SoLA transports players to the ultimate California music festival, where a psychedelic beat unleashes chaos, turning the mosh pit into a rotting crater of blood and unleashing a malevolent presence to haunt the player.
The SoLA DLC has the following content:
New Story: A deadly virus ravages The Valley, turning its residents into ravenous zombies, while a chthonic rhythm calls from the beyond: the Beat of the Autophage.
Lured to the festival by a mysterious warning, players must explore the ruins of SoLA to stop this otherworldly threat.
New Location: A brutal, blood-soaked music festival in the heart of LA (or HELL-A as we like to call it), reverberating to the sound of the beat that threatens to turn the living into zombies. It has the potential to be heard around the world.
New Enemies: The Whipper is a new enemy of the Apex variant, driven mad by the Autophage. Her compulsion to self-mutilate has transformed her into a horrific nightmare of eviscerated intestines, giving her the ability to attack from a distance.
Another new, disturbing apex zombie, Clotter can transform into a disgusting pile of blood, immune to damage in this form, and can then regroup elsewhere to continue the fight. He is capable of firing a powerful jet of putrid blood from his heart.
New Legendary Weapons: The Ripper, for example: a deadly combination of baseball bat and circular saw that develops into a powerful dismemberment machine.
The Sawblade Launcher: a heavy weapon that fires rotating saw blades; the perfect weapon for decapitation and dismemberment at a distance.
