The players of XDefiant are now extremely dissatisfied with the game and complain mainly about the countless bugs.
Many gamers believe that XDefiant was released too early and that even with the latest updates and the new season, there are too many bugs in the game that spoil the fun.
Thereupon reported Mark Rubin from Ubisoft and the XDefiant team spoke about the engine, which was actually developed for MMO games and now needs to be completely overhauled.
He also said that if you can’t handle the bugs in XDefiant, you should just move on.

What we have is an engine that has only ever been used for MMOs, so the entire infrastructure for an FPS had to be built from scratch. We’re working on developing a completely new technology in an engine that was designed for something else. That being said, the engine is really great, but it requires a lot of work and with that work comes a lot of bugs that other engines have already ironed out. We’re not a shooter that’s been around for 20 years. If you like what we’re trying to do, stick with it and you’ll see things improve and new features added. But, if the game isn’t for you, that’s okay, you can move on.”
