Announcing Summum Aeterna, the roguelite prequel to metroidvania Aeterna Noctis, one of the best and most challenging titles of 2021
If you enjoy demanding, deep, and highly artistic games, you’re in luck. the english study Eternal Game Studios announced Supreme Eternalthe prequel to eternal nightone of the toughest titles of 2021.
Unlike the metroidvania style we saw in the first installment of this new saga, Summum Aeterna will focus on the roguelite genre, without abandoning the fantastic essence of the world of Aeterna. For the moment, only the PC version has been confirmed, as was the case with Aeterna Noctis. Although it’s more than likely that console versions will be announced sooner rather than later. A release date has yet to be announced.
Summum Aeterna is a roguelite that combines dungeon crawling mechanics with fast-paced combat and a unique 2D art style. As you take control of the Dark King, you’ll explore an impregnable world full of treasures, traps, hordes of enemies, and powerful bosses.
