Most successful start in the history of the Outbreak series!
Outbreak: Endless Nightmares is the first title in outbreak Series that target Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One at the same time. We have had them since the start outbreak Player base grows 8 times compared to previous titles. We also received a tremendous amount of fantastic player feedback, which has led directly to improvements in the game. This success has given us the opportunity to focus on continuous updates to the title and plan an extensive roadmap for the year ahead!
Over 20 major improvements added straight from community feedback
It’s never been a better time to jump in Endless nightmares! Precise aiming and a free look are the new standard control schemes for over-the-shoulder and first-person shooter modes. Your survivor is now much more nimble, with strafing and the ability to hit headshots from a greater distance for extreme damage. The weapon balance has also been greatly improved, with power weapons like shotguns doing the explosive damage you’d expect when killing hordes of zombies. Gore has also been improved to be more realistic. The co-op mode has also been completely redesigned and plays better than ever!
Get up close and personal in the revamped first person shooter view
Lead the fight in the improved first person shooter mode right in the face of the undead. Now with a clear, beautifully animated view of your survivor’s body and weapon, powered by the real-time physics system that works throughout the title. This view also greatly improves the accuracy of your weapon so you can fight threats at greater distances, while the controls feel responsive and tight. This has been the most requested feature by the community and we’re really excited to be able to make it available so soon after it’s released! If you prefer, the retro-style OTS / FPS modes that originally started with the title can optionally also be activated while playing the game.
Increases in performance and better control over the graphics
New options have been added that allow you to choose game resolution (Xbox Series X only), graphics quality, and V-Sync options. Xbox Series X now lets you choose from four graphics modes: Performance (1080p), Quality (1080p with real-time shadows), Performance + (Native 4K), and Quality + (Native 4K with real-time shadows) Prioritize frame rate or graphics quality. We’ve also added discrete V-Sync options on all platforms to unlock 60 fps, 30 fps, or the frame rate, in addition to nearly three times faster load times and a 20% increased frame rate (varies by platform and game scene). The texture quality has also been improved in parts of the title.
And much more…
Those are just a few of the highlights on how Endless nightmares has been developing steadily since the start. But you will also see numerous improvements in all aspects of the gaming experience, including tons of bug fixes. All of this is now available through the cumulative updates the title has received since it was released. There has never been a better time to return to the nightmare!
The timetable of the apocalypse to ruin
You can expect two major expansions in the coming year Endless nightmares to shuffle out of the shadows. In Susurrations of the Nexus (ETA Winter 2022), Lydia will be forced to revisit twisted variations of her memories of the outbreak conjured up by the terrifying ghouls. Outbreak: Endless Nightmares changes the series’ survival horror gameplay by adding elements of roguelike gameplay. You’ll have to explore, search for supplies, uncover clues, and fight your way through each anomaly – each is made up of semi-procedural generated instances where both the environment and the undead are out to kill you! In the immediate aftermath of the events of Outbreak: The Nightmare Chronicles, you’ll find yourself in the remains of the Doctor Memorial Hospital – the hub for organizing your inventory and storage cache, leveling up your character, or just taking a breather before heading back into the chaos. Aside from murderous hordes of undead, there is more to discover in the world – find the journals scattered around to learn more about the outbreak and, ultimately, where to take refuge! Do not believe that death can save you – every time you die you will wake up trapped in this nexus. Outbreak: Endless Nightmares focuses on extreme replayability by offering multiple character options – each with their own skills, upgrade paths, and more! Every time you venture into the anomaly, it changes and becomes more and more difficult as the power increases. You need to think carefully about what weapons, healing items, and other supplies to bring with you. If you are lucky, you may find storage caches that give you access to your expanded inventory and the option to refill. But it’s up to you to search your area for supplies. When you go out … your fate is sealed!
