Fun & Serious Game Festival has unveiled the list of nominees for the eleventh edition of its Titanium Awards. These distinguish the best international video games, and will be delivered on Saturday 11 December at 6.30 p.m., in the Luxua space, at BEC Bilbao. The award ceremony will be presented by communicators Lara Smirnova and Antonio Santo. Death loop and Psychonauts 2 will be the main protagonists among the lists.
Psychonauts 2, Terror Metroid, Forza Horizon 5, It takes two and Death loop are the five titles nominated in the Video Game of the Year category. The Fun & Serious festival opens a new award category in 2021 by including “The best adaptation”, an award in which the “Arcane” series are nominated – a proposal from Riot Games and the French study Fortiche on the universe of Runeterra-, the Japanese “Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness” (produced by Hiroyuki Kobayashi) as well as the animated film “The Witcher; The Wolf’s Nightmare”, all broadcast on the Netflix platform.
Double Fine’s platform game that guides little Raz on an epic journey through minds, Psychonauts 2, has 4 nominations as he is also a nominee for Best Game Design, Best Narrative Design and Best Art Direction. The same number of nominations goes to the shooter from Arkane Studios and Bethesda, Death loop, which competes for a prize in the same list of categories: GOTY; Better game design, better narrative design, and better art direction.

Two more titles clash for two Titanium, the platform game from Insomniac Games Ratchet & Clank: a dimension apart go for two Titans in this edition. In that case, Best Game Design and Best Art Direction. As well as the kinematics 12 minutes, candidate for Best narrative design and best sound direction. In addition to the Titanium prizes, F&S awards FS Play to the most innovative independent video game, a prize endowed with 4,000 dollars, sponsored by the Spanish Association of Video Games, AEVI and led by a jury made up of eminent journalists and academics such as that Inés. Alcolea Llopis (Geek & video games), Marta Trivi (AnaitGames), Daniel Muriel and José María Martínez Burgos (Hafo).
155 video games developed by independent studies from 41 countries have been featured in this edition. Europe (with 68 proposals) was the most represented nation. With the United States (10 titles), the United Kingdom (8), France (also 8) and Germany (6), 10 proposals were submitted for the Best Basque Video Game, also sponsored by the AEVI.
