This is a dream game for our small team and we can’t wait to share this unique and distinctive world that we have handcrafted over the past few years!
Death door is a fantasy action-adventure set in a world where crows reap the souls of the dead and operate from their headquarters known as the Hall of Doors. One of the crows (that’s you) is sent by order to a twisted place where nothing has died for several centuries …
If you venture behind the doors you will find a living, fully explorable open world full of strange and wonderful characters, intrigues and secrets. The creatures here live far beyond their expiration date and let their souls flood with greed and power. The longest-lived residents have become colossal tyrants who conquer every corner of the region with their own backstories and motivations. You are a reaper and your corrupt souls need to be retrieved – I’m sure you have figured out what it is you need to do! Be prepared for varied and intense challenges on the way to each of your goals – a healthy mix of mini-brawls, action-packed romps and boss fights. Combat is easy to get to grips with – your dodgeroll and slash combos are fluid, quick, and responsive – but you should use unlockable weapons, arrows, and magical skills to become an unstoppable Reaper. Or you can pick up an umbrella at the office and use that for every fight in the game. We won’t stop you. Make sure you don’t forget to bring these precious souls back to the Hall of Doors to trade them in for stat upgrades that will suit and improve your play style.
Death door is a challenging game that tells a dark and gritty story, but all the fate and darkness are balanced by a touch of humor and positivity. They bring hope to the memorable lineup of uniquely strange but friendly characters trying to find their way around this dark world. You can fill the stagnant land with new life by planting seeds everywhere you explore and inviting little forest spirits to make their home here (and maybe even have a fondness for you!).
