Square Enix President Takashi Kiryu announced during an analyst earnings conference that the company will focus on internal development of its better-known titles to increase both quality and margins, according to a Bloomberg report. Conversely, the outsourcing of development to external studios should be reduced.
A new testing mechanism will make it possible to make decisions about the quality of a game at an earlier stage of development.
Kiryu has announced that it will describe the new structure in more detail in the spring, which will reportedly be implemented in April.
