Ladder season 2
Ladder season 2 heralds the next opportunity to race to level 99 and rack up powerful loot along the way. This season introduces Terror Zones and Division Spells to help you fight enemies that cross your path! For those new to Ladder Seasons, you may be wondering what will happen to your shared stash loot when the current season ends. Once Ladder Season One ends, all Ladder characters will be reassigned to their respective non-Ladder groups. All items in that character group’s shared pool will be moved to a new set of “Withdraw Only” tabs for “Shared Pool”, denoted by a checked “History” box. Players can retire any items they wish to keep throughout Ladder Season 2. When the season ends, this set of withdraw-only stash tabs will be overwritten with all items in the Ladder Season Two shared stash. Make sure you retrieve all items by then or they will be lost forever!
Terror Zones
To make the journey to level 99 accessible to a larger number of players, provide more variety than repeatedly farming Baal, Diablo, and Nihlathak, and most importantly, remain challenging. Terror Zones got introduced. If you’re playing a Terror Zone-enabled game, every hour fiendish convulsions, imbued with the Lord of Destruction’s unshakable corruption, will descend upon certain zones, terrorizing the monsters within and rendering them at least two levels higher than your current level or their original level. up to a maximum per level of difficulty. to Unlock the Terror Zones feature, you must defeat Baal with any expansion character per character and difficulty – existing characters that have already met the requirements will automatically unlock this feature. Once Ladder Season Two begins, players must meet these unlock requirements in order to experience Terror Zones with their new Ladder characters.
New division spells
On Hell difficulty, monsters can gain resistance increases in excess of 100%, making those monsters immune to certain types of damage. Previously, there were only a handful of ways to lower a monster’s immunity, meaning only a small fraction of hero builds could successfully farm all zones. To solve this scenario and encourage greater diversity in class building, we introduced six breakup spells which allow the player to break certain monster immunity types while the charm is in the inventory of new Ladder characters. Keep your wits about you, as these new unique charms only drop from terrorized monsters on Champion, Unique, Super Unique, or Boss difficulty.
