One of the games that left us most speechless in the past, Xbox Showcase, was undoubtedly the official presentation of Doom: The Dark Ages. The new Doom installment had already leaked before the event, but it wasn’t until after the event that we got to see how the creature moves.
Obviously just watching it will blow your mind, the gameplay in this trailer looks brutal, with moments where you don’t even have time to blink. Digital Foundry has carried out an analysis of what was shown in said trailer and highlights that next-gen technology is in the game. It should be remembered that Doom: The Dark Ages will not be released until 2025 with a date still to be determined, at the moment there are no new Xbox Series models in sight, so from what we have seen, it will fully exploit the Xbox Series X Hardware.
