Support organizations that make the difference during today's coronavirus epidemic are more important now than ever before. Many people are looking for ways to help with the tasks and passions they make at home, and gamers have a new and easy way to offer great results. Starting today, Xbox One owners in the U.S. will see on the Xbox One home screen the benefit of the coronavirus response efforts by giving easy access to CDC Foundation.
Here's how it works: If you're not just a Microsoft Rewards member, sign up for free with the Microsoft Reward app on your Xbox One or online at microsoftreward.com and earn points by simply playing games on your Xbox. Then donate your Reward Points to the CDC Foundation. Hit the CDC Foundation button on the Xbox One dash to tell Microsoft that you want to donate your Rewards Points to the CDC Foundation, then Microsoft will match each of your donations. 1,000 reward points equals $ 1 donation.
Owners of the Xbox One may receive Microsoft Rewards (but not limited to) completing the "Make Your Part From Home" time, playing new Xbox games and completing Xbox Game Pass Quests, renting and purchasing movies and TV with Microsoft Movie TV app, explore new content and entertainment apps, and shop at the Microsoft store on their Xbox.
This puts the power of the CDC Foundation at ease in the hands of Xbox gamers and is available from today.
The efforts were inspired by Microsoft Provide Bing an initiative that allows Microsoft Reward members to contribute points to more than one million nonprofits. Over the years, Microsoft Reward members have donated millions of dollars to tons of amazing organizations. We have been honored to help empower gamers to participate in the CDC Foundation's response capabilities through their passion for gaming.
