Current-gen consoles have been with us for a few years now and we’ve barely gotten to see all they’re capable of, so in 2023 we hope to see plenty of advancements on new games built entirely for the Xbox Series X/S. who take advantage of the new technologies of these machines in their entirety.
In addition to new games, these years we have also seen titles released before the start of the current generation that have been improved to run smoothly and take advantage of the hardware, giving very good examples such as Gears 5, Resident Evil 7 or DOOM Eternal.
DOOM Eternal can use RayTracing on Steam Deck
The title developed by ID Software is one of the best when it comes to running on Xbox Series X/S with different performance modes including one that activates the use of RayTracing.
RayTracing is one of the most used technologies in recent games and now DOOM Eternal has the option to use it on the Steam Deck as well, or at least in a preview of an update for the laptop that allows this technology to be used, as we can see in the image that we leave you below, in addition to the confirmation by a valve worker.

Steam Deck has more and more games adapted to work properly and we hope that this year we will continue to see more titles that can be played on this portable “console”.
