Embody the night
Dracula is the first shapeshifter killer in Dead by Daylight, with three unique forms that offer different gameplay experiences: Vampire, Wolf, and Bat.
The Vampire Form is a type of base form that can fire a column of flame that can penetrate objects such as windows and pallets. The Wolf is an excellent hunter and can easily spot and take down survivors. The Bat is fast and silent and has a deadly teleportation ability, but cannot see survivors.
The design intent behind the different forms – aside from immersing players in the ultimate gothic power fantasy – was to provide a variety of fun and exciting gameplay options. While the wolf and bat forms can be switched depending on the situation, players can use them as often as they like.
The Dark Lord brings three extras that are well suited to exploiting the misplaced pride that people so often feel.
Hex: Miserable Fate places a hindering curse on one Survivor – the Obsession – that slows their repair speed. While this curse is active, Dracula players can be assured that their Obsession is not contributing efficiently to their goal, giving them room to pursue other alternative goals.
To increase the pressure, you can combine Hex: Wretched Fate with additional hex support perks to ensure it stays in the game for as long as possible.
Human greed will be their downfall, and Dracula will quickly capitalize on it with this anti-resource perk. Over the course of a trial, survivors may search for chests to replenish their items. This perk allows you to survey all unopened chests on the map and reveal the aura of any survivor who approaches a chest.
If you manage to interrupt her browsing, Human Greed will grant you the ability to slam the chest shut and force her to start the process all over again.
The continuation of the anti-resource campaign is dominance, which prompts the entity to temporarily prevent survivors from interacting with chests and totems. This ties in quite nicely with Dracula’s own curse: Wretched Fate, which automatically causes Wretched Fate to stay in the game a little longer.
Any Killer player who has ever seen a pre-game lobby screen knows that Survivors love their items. Use that to your advantage and make them rue the day.
The legacy of Belmont
Trevor Belmont is familiar with the supernatural, and his latest dance with the Dark Lord will be unlike anything he’s ever experienced. His abilities manifest themselves in 3 unique character perks that can give him a valuable advantage in his darkest hour.
He will not soon forget the things he saw. Eyes of Belmont are no stranger to evil, but Trevor doesn’t blink in its presence. Once a generator is completed, the Killer’s aura is briefly revealed. In addition, any other perk that reveals the Killer’s aura will extend the reveal time.
Only a Belmont can find Cheers in the face of horror. While being chased with an item in hand, stunning a pallet will instantly upgrade that item to the next level. Players would be wise to loot chests to replenish their item supply.
Moment of glory is another item-based perk that activates after rummaging through multiple chests. Once the required number is reached, players gain the ability to be broken instead of injured. Should they manage to survive for a while, they will be instantly healed.
While this is risky, it can be hugely valuable in a long chase, especially if the killer isn’t expecting it. Consider this for any advantage that could give your looping skills an edge and buy you extra time to bide your time.
