The next DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot title Bardock – Alone Against Fate, arrives later this week with the update for Xbox Series S and X. It tells us the story of Bardock, the father of Goku, as he fights against the evil of the mythical villain of the saga: Frieza. Bandai Namco has released a new story trailer.
It seems clear that the conclusion of the DLC leads to a confrontation with Frieza. Along the way, players can take on hordes of his minions in spectacular multiplayer battles. We will also see Prince Vegeta and a future enemy that will appear on planet Namek. New places to visit will also be added, such as Planet Vegeta.
Interestingly, the trailer also seems to confirm the setting for the upcoming DLC. This was rumored to be the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai Tournament Saga (Martial Arts Tournament as translated here) in the original Dragon Ball. This is the same arc in which we saw Goku fight against Piccolo Jr. when the two were still enemies and which ended the Dragon Ball series to give birth to Dragon Ball Z.
